The RIPCI —the regulations governing fire protection equipment— leaves no room for flexibility. It requires you to have your extinguishers inspected, keep your Maintenance Log up to date, and have the work signed off by an authorised company. If anything is wrong on inspection day, the penalty won’t wait. And if something serious happens, your insurer may say the equipment wasn’t compliant and reduce your payout. I’ve seen both happen.
We’re your fire extinguisher company in Murcia and Alicante. We sell, install, inspect, recharge and pressure-test ABC powder, CO₂, water, wheeled and marine fire extinguishers. We are an authorised installer and maintenance provider approved by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
When we finish an inspection, we don’t just leave you a new sticker on the side: we leave you with a signed report and an up-to-date Log Book. That Log Book, open on the table with everything in order, is what gets you through an inspection..

Having fire extinguishers on the wall is just the beginning. The rest—fire hose reels, hydrants, detection, alarms, signage, fire doors, pressure systems and emergency lighting—each has its own regulations, licensed technicians and maintenance schedule. And these systems don’t work well when maintenance is spread out: one technician comes in March, another in July, a third in October, and nobody shares information.

Fire detection, alarms and fire hose reels (BIE)
Here’s something many people don’t know: in a fire, smoke is almost always what kills. Not the flames. It mostly kills people sleeping or working on a different floor from where the fire started. That’s why a detection system that raises the alarm in time is so valuable. It turns lack of awareness into minutes.
We install and maintain automatic fire detection systems, fire alarm control panels, optical and rate-of-rise heat detectors, manual call points, sirens and fire hose reels (25 and 45 mm) for industrial premises, residential communities and buildings in Murcia and Alicante. Whatever the site’s risk requires. No unnecessary equipment.
Passive fire protection: signage, fire doors and fireproofing
Passive fire protection works quietly. It doesn’t put out fires. It contains them. It compartmentalizes. It buys time. It’s the fire door that stopped the garage fire from spreading up the stairs. It’s the intumescent paint that held when everything else gave way. It’s the green sign someone followed through the smoke without thinking.
We supply and install approved photoluminescent signage, EI₂ fire doors and fireproofing for steel structures. We also check the most common failure: fire doors wedged open “for convenience”, which are useless once smoke fills the area.
Hands-on training with live fire
Knowing there’s a fire extinguisher on the wall isn’t the same as knowing how to use it when your hands are shaking. It’s that simple. And we see it every time we run a new training session: the first time someone squeezes an extinguisher’s trigger, almost nobody aims at the base of the fire. They aim at the flames. It’s instinctive. And wrong.

Is fire extinguisher maintenance mandatory for a business or residential community?
Yes. RIPCI requires it: a quarterly visual inspection by the owner, an annual inspection by an authorised maintenance company, and recharging and pressure testing every five years. Missing any of these deadlines can result in a penalty and, in the event of a fire, problems with insurance cover.
